Mint Tiny House Company completed its Traveler’s Paradise, a tiny home on wheels that can sleep up to eight people.
The home sits on the base of the company’s Canada Goose model, which is offered as a 38-foot or 41-foot long build. In this instance, the Traveler’s Paradise is built on the 41-foot long Canada Goose with only “slight” customizations from the original, the company told Business Insider in an email.
When Traveler’s Paradise was finally unveiled on Mint Tiny House Company’s Instagram account, it received an “above-average” engagement soon after posting, according to its makers.
The inside of the tiny house has all the hallmark rooms of any unit built by Mint Tiny House Company or any foundation-based home, including a full kitchen, bathroom, living room, and several bedrooms. But unlike many previous builds by the company, the interior of the Traveler’s Paradise has a light color scheme, which is a departure from the dark interiors that most of the company’s clients request, according to Mint Tiny House Company.
The Canada Goose model that Traveler's Paradise is built on starts at $92,644. However, this particular tiny home has a higher cost at around $111,300, including all of its amenities.
The client who requested the build had a hand in picking the color palette of the tiny home, resulting in its bright white walls with wood and black colored accents.
There are three bedrooms: one on the first floor, and two lofts.
These three rooms, combined with a sleeper couch in the living room, allow the tiny home to sleep up to eight people.
But if sleeping a large group of people isn't necessary, the lofts can be used as a storage or leisure space.
The Traveler's Paradise stands at 41 feet long, 8.5 feet wide, and 13.5 feet tall including the trailer and wheels.
However, the interior height is lower at around 7.2 feet.
The rooms below the lofted spaces — which include the bathroom, living room, and downstairs bedroom — have a standing height at around 6.7 feet tall.
This height then gets further reduced in the two lofts, which are both 3.7 feet tall. The first loft is about 63 square feet, while the second is a bit smaller at 57 square feet.
On the way to the downstairs bedroom is the bathroom, which has a toilet, shower, and sink.
The bedroom — which is above the trailer hitch — is considered the main sleeping space, although the 8-foot long by 7.2-foot wide room can also be used as an office or nursery, according to its maker.
Traveler's Paradise's kitchen is equipped with cooktops, sinks, a refrigerator-freezer, and plenty of countertop and storage space.
The ladder stored on the wall above the kitchen space is designed to access the one loft that doesn't have a staircase.
Storage in the tiny home includes closets in the bedroom, shelves on the lofts, and cabinets that are integrated into the staircase.
To help regulate the interior temperature of the tiny home, the builders included a heating and cooling system.
